This privacy policy explains how Meltd ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our iOS app.

Information We Collect

When you place an order, we collect:

Your name, email address, and phone number
Your delivery postcode (for InPost locker selection)
Payment information — processed securely by Stripe, we do not store card details
Your order history and status

If you create an account, we also collect:

Your email address and display name (via Google or Apple Sign-In)

How We Use Your Information

To process and fulfil your order
To send order confirmation and status update emails
To send push notifications about your order (if you grant permission)
To provide customer support

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

App Permissions

Meltd requests the following device permissions:

Notifications — to send order status updates (printing, shipped, delivered). Optional — you can decline or revoke at any time in device settings. Push tokens are stored securely in Firebase and never shared with third parties.
Photo Library — used only when you choose to create a Meltd Me or Meltd Pet figurine. Your photo is uploaded to our secure servers solely for the purpose of generating your personalised 3D model. We do not access your photo library at any other time.

Meltd Me & Meltd Pet — AI-Generated Figurines

Meltd Me and Meltd Pet are optional features that allow you to create a personalised 3D printed figurine from a photo of yourself or your pet.

When you use these features, you choose to upload a photo from your device. This photo is processed by a third-party AI service to generate a 3D model.
Your photo and the resulting 3D model file are stored securely in your account and are only accessible to you.
By uploading a photo, you confirm that you have the right to use it and that you consent to it being processed by AI to generate a 3D figurine.
Additional retake attempts can be purchased via in-app purchase at £0.99 each, processed by Apple through the App Store.
You have the right to request deletion of your photo and 3D model at any time by deleting your account or contacting us at made@meltd.store.
We do not use your photo or 3D model for any other purpose, including advertising or training AI models.

Third-Party Services

Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
Apple App Store — in-app purchases for figurine retakes. Apple Privacy Policy
Google Sign-In — optional account sign-in. Google Privacy Policy
Firebase (Google) — database, authentication, and push notifications. Firebase Privacy Policy
Resend — order confirmation emails. Resend Privacy Policy
InPost — parcel delivery. Your postcode is used to identify a suitable locker.
AI processing service — used to generate 3D figurine models from photos uploaded via Meltd Me and Meltd Pet. Photos are transmitted securely and used solely for model generation.

Data Retention

Your order data is retained for a minimum of 6 years in accordance with UK tax law. You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Note that order records may be retained subject to our legal obligations.

Photos and 3D model files uploaded or generated via Meltd Me are retained until you delete your account or request their removal.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction or deletion of your data
Delete your account directly from the app via Account → Delete Account
Object to or restrict its processing
Opt out of push notifications at any time via your device settings

Children's Privacy

Our app is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
